Raw, Traditional Ghanaian Shea Butter

Pure Raw Shea Butter
100% raw and unrefined—no bleaching or deodorizing
Sustainably wild‑harvested (no impact on wild shea tree populations)
Why Shea Butter?
anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and healing properties
NouriShea is more than a moisturizer — it’s nature’s remedy and a legacy. Rich in fatty acids (oleic & stearic) and vitamins A, E & F, raw shea butter deeply locks in moisture, restores your skin barrier, and calms irritation.
It’s often used for eczema, burns, stretch marks, even scar prevention. A recent clinical study found 37.8% reduction in water loss (TEWL) and 58% increase in hydration within 24 hours of application.*

Sustainable Quality
The Vitellaria paradoxa — known as the shea tree — is more than just the source of our butter. It’s a sacred tree native to the savannahs of West Africa. Deeply rooted in the traditions, economies, and ecosystems of Northern Ghana, shea trees take up to 15 years to mature and can live for over 200 years.
Today, rising global demand for shea butter in cosmetics and food industries is placing unprecedented pressure on wild shea populations. Unsustainable harvesting practices, land clearing trees for commercial farming or charcoal, and climate change threaten this vital resource.
The loss of Shea treas weakens ecosystems that depend on their shade and soil integrity

Our Commitment
At Nourishea, we’re committed to sustainable, community-driven sourcing. That means:
- Wild-harvest only — no plantations, no chemical inputs
- Tree-friendly collection — ensuring nuts are gathered only after they naturally fall
- Fair trade partnerships that empower women to steward the land
- Community education and reforestation efforts to safeguard the shea belt
We believe protecting shea trees is not only about environmental sustainability — it’s about protecting heritage, dignity, and the future of local economies.
